NICE are consulting on service user experience in adult mental health, as follows:
“Clinical practice guidance on Service user experience in adult mental health is being developed for use in the NHS in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. An associated quality standard is being developed for use in the NHS in England. Registered stakeholders for this guidance and quality standard are invited to comment on the provisional recommendations and quality standard via this website.
http://guidance.nice.org.uk/CG/Wave25/14/GuidanceQSConsultation
Individuals and organisations not registered as stakeholders are not able to comment, we recommend that you register as a stakeholder or you contact the registered stakeholder organisation that most closely represents your interests and pass your comments to them.”
I have no idea who they have involved to date, but clearly as many people as possible should have the opportunity, so get cracking. However, individuals cannot register as stakeholders. Fear not though,as the North East regionwide service user and carer network (a.k.a. NEt) is registered, and we’re very happy to submit all and any of your comments (unedited). Comments should relate to the consultation documents (attached), and please (just to make life a little easier, please) send them in (to this e-mail address, ntwsuc) with some indication as to which numbered points in the consultation documents they refer.
