Demonstration, 10th March, against Government attacks on public services and disability benefits

(Thanks to Stuart Bracking and DPAC, Disabled People Against Cuts)

On Saturday 10 March, the Northern Trades Union Congress is organising a protest against the Liberal Party spring conference at The Sage Gateshead and their support for cuts to public services and disability benefits.

There will be a march from Wesley Square on Newcastle Quayside (which is just in front of the law courts) over the Millennium Bridge to a rally in front of the Baltic Arts Centre.

Members of the disabled people’s campaign Black Triangle Scotland will be on the march with their banner. Disabled People Against Cuts invite you to join us to help form a visible disabled people’s contingent on the march.

The march is assembling at 11am and the rally should be finished by 1pm.

I hope you can join us on Saturday. And please tell other disabled people about this who you think might be interested.
