Reminder: Time to Change training/events (2nd, 13th and 20th July)

Via Angela, our regional time To Change coordinator with whom we’re all working for the big Mental Health day to be at Grey’s Monument on the 5th of October and other similar associated events (timetable being worked on now…)

Time to Change are holding a social/networking in the form of afternoon tea event on Saturday 13th July (1-4pm) at the Crisis Skylight Café in Newcastle for existing and potential Champions of Time to Change. Like always it is a free event and we provide travel costs up to £15. This is a chance for people to socialise with other people, build confidence and learn more about what being a Champion involves. As you know when people become Champions there is no obligation involved it simply means that they are regularly updated about what opportunities are coming up in Time to Change and how to get involved if they are interested. As always if people feel they are not able to access this opportunity due to a disability please contact me and we will work out a way that that person can be fully included. I have attached a flyer and a booking form. I would appreciate it if you could distribute it around your members and networks so as many people as possible are aware of this opportunity.Could you also take the opportunity to remind people about the Speaking Out training that we are offering in Newcastle on 2nd & 20th July which is also a free event and let them know that places are on a first come first served basis. The events are aimed at people with lived mental health experience, are free but need to be booked for the purpose of knowing numbers attending.
