Thursday of this coming week sees World Mental Health day* (it’s always on the tenth day of the tenth month). Now the region saw a fabulous event* at Grey’s Monument in Newcastle with thousands and thousands of people learning about mental health, and pledging to tackle stigma and discrimination, but do not for one moment think that’s it. Oh, no.
Those good folk in South Tyneside have activities all this coming week* (what with a mere day not being good enough for them, they’re appropriating the week) and the flyer is attached. Also, the groovy denizens of Gateshead are having an event on Saturday the 12th*, in Gateshead town centre and the flier for that is also attached.
* do note that all of us in the region do continue this kind of work all year round, every day. But doing events every now and then helps in gaining the public’s attention, interest and publicity, and possibly even allows a a little fun to be had.
