Member’s Meeting of North East together and Welfare Reform Action Group Re-launch

Dear Members,
I am writing to invite you to the next Member’s meeting of North East Together and newsletter launch on Wednesday 30th July at St Cuthbert’s Hospice, Merryoaks, Durham. Lunch will be at 12.30pm with the meeting starting at 1pm.

At this meeting we will be re-launching our Welfare Reform Action Group, a group that will be looking at the impact of welfare benefits reform on the region’s mental health service users and carers and how to campaign and advocate for a fairer system and better experience for all.

The agenda is as Follows

12.30pm; Buffet Lunch

1pm- Chair’s Welcome and introductions

1.10pm- Guest Speaker Naomi James of the National Survivor and User Network

1.30pm-Re-Launch of The Welfare Reform Action Group

1.35pm- Round the table discussions

1.40pm-Question one ‘ Think about your own experience and tell us what could have been better, what could improve and what was good’

2.10pm- Question two- ‘What topics do you want the working group to cover?

2.40pm- Question three-‘ What methods should the group use to campaign around welfare reform?

3pm- Chair’s closing remarks
